Two players, or a four-rung Practice AI ladder.
On a phone: slide a thumb along the strip under the court and your slime walks to it — it stops where your thumb is, so it never overshoots. The grey pad on the right is for your other thumb: tap JUMP, hold GRAB (in the games that have one), and press SHOOT in basketball. The pad is a stick too: push up to jump, hold down to grab, and flick up from a grab to jump with the ball still held.
Slime Basketball — Slime Dunk, to its friends — is what happens when you give two slimes a ball and a hoop that is just slightly too high. Shooting means letting go at exactly the right moment; defending means being a large round obstacle in exactly the right place.
Like the rest of the slime sports, the original was a Java applet that stopped working when browsers dropped applet support. This version is a direct port of that Java code to JavaScript, running natively in your browser with nothing to install. The bounce, the arc, the way a shot rattles off the rim and drops the wrong way — all as they were.
Score more baskets than your opponent before the clock runs out. Grab the ball, then shoot it towards the hoop; jump for extra height. Blocks are legal; so is standing directly under the basket and waiting. Play a friend on the same keyboard, or climb the four-rung practice ladder against the computer.
Tip: shots from further out get more height. Release early and let the ball do the work.
Fancy the same idea with a net instead of a hoop? That's Slime Volleyball. With goals? Slime Soccer.
